Earlier this week, Jim Chisholm who is seeking the office of County Clerk was officially endorsed by the Westchester Conservative Party. Jim who is a registered Republican has already received the endorsement of the Republican Party in May.

“I am delighted to receive the endorsement of the Conservative Party” said Chisholm. “I believe I can help fix many issues that Conservatives and all Westchester residents care about” he stated after receiving word about the endorsement. “My priority is to run a more efficient Clerks Office that will eliminate wait times for constituents and better serve the people” he said.

Chisholm, a local businessman for over 40 years currently resides in Somers with his wife where he is the Chairman of the Somers Republican Party. He has served his community in many different capacities. This includes his current roles as the Commissioner to the NYS Parks and Recs Board, Chairman of Westchester County Parks, Recreation and Conservation Board, and Chairman of Westchester County Playland Citizens Advisory Board. He has previously served as the Economic Development Director to the New York State Senate’s 40th District. He served as the Chairman to the Bedford Drug Abuse Council as well as President of the Somers Chamber of Commerce, Somers Lions Club and Eastchester Rotary Club. Additionally, he was on the American Youth Soccer Board and was a baseball, softball and soccer coach for youth teams.

His unanimous endorsement by the Conservative party was the second unanimous endorsement by a political party.  Jim promises to campaign hard over the next 6 months to win over the support of all voters. “I want to meet as many constituents on the campaign trail as possible” Jim exclaimed.  He now has the Support of the Republicans and the Conservatives; he hopes to be endorsed by other minor party lines over the next few months.
